Societies fall due to three main problems, corrupt government, unemployment, and lack of freedom for citizens. So many things have fallen from grace, including society, I say it as a whole and not a plural due to the general rule that every society falls at some point. In a few sentences, describe what your entire essay will be about. You should state the three reasons why great civilizations and societies fall. Even though indulgences were the Catholic’s suppo sed easy way out of purgatory, peasants who did not have enough money to purchase them found themselves to be out of luck, and priest were known to misuse them. Martin Luther’s â€Å"Ninety-five Theses on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences† was written in 1517 in response to Albrecht of Brandenburg’s instructions for selling indulgences. This theses was a bulletin of 95 reasons why indulgences did not grant forgiveness and why they were pretty much a scam and a list of what the Catholic church needed to change. Martin Luther’s letter â€Å"Against the Murdering and Robbing Bands of Peasants† was written in 1525. This document is his response to the peasants’ reaction to his â€Å"twelve articles†. After the â€Å"Twelve Articles† publication, the peasant became angered at their standing within them.
